Silk looks particularly spectacular when mounted on canvas.  My fine art is hand-painted silk mounted on 2" deep canvas covered frames.  The silk is varnished onto the canvas with a water-based varnish.  After the silk is mounted on the canvas, the art is dust and UV resistant.

These pieces take dozens of hours to complete.  Many of the pieces are painted using a no-resist technique developed by Karen Sistek (Karen Sistek Studio).  This is a unique technique in the world of silk painting.
